Simply Bewitching 'Sami'

2001 AQHA Quarter Horse Pony Mare

'Sami' is a 14 and 1/2 hand bay AQHA pony mare coming 7 years old in April 2008. Sami has been showing in the 2'6", and most recently, the 2'9" and 3' jumpers with an 11 year old girl (they school at 3'3"). They have been champion almost every time out. I have started showing her at 3'3"... She will be ready to do the 3'6" divisions with a child very soon.

Sami has had a wonderful start to her jumper career, and she shows a very promising future. She won her very first jumper class (out of 12) at Swan Lake Stables last June and she hasn't looked back since. She has a lot of scope and jumps in beautiful form. She is very quick (when asked to be!) in the jumpoff and turns on a dime. She has been free jumped to 4'3", so height is not an issue.

Although Sami is not a spooky or hot pony, she does need an experienced child rider to take her up through pony jumpers. Once she gets to that point she will be very hard to beat. Sami was used as a lesson pony at summer camps before starting her jumper career. She is great on trails, with or without other horses.
